Harrington HealthCare at Charlton

Our Charlton Medical Office Building, known as Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, is another example of providing Total Local Care to the communities we serve. This 20,000 square-foot building, at the intersection of Route 20 East and North Main Street (next to the CVS), already features a 1,600-square-foot MRI operation, staffed by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center radiologists.

On March 1, 2010, the second floor of the campus opened to the public with four primary care physician employed by Harrington Physician Services: Monika Mathur, Martin Devine, Elizabeth Fuller and Leah Doret. All four began seeing patients at the new facility.

When the entire building is filled and complete in the spring of 2010, it will include specialty-care physicians, scanning, digital mammography and ultrasound machines, units for orthopedics and bone density and a blood-drawing station for a phlebotomy lab. Also part of the building will be a rehabilitation department for physical and occupational therapy, and a new-to-the-area intensive wound care program, where patients with difficult-to-heal wounds will be treated, including with two hyperbaric oxygen chambers. The nearest hospitals that treat patients with hyperbaric oxygen are in Boston, Concord and Gardner.
