| Job Description | An occupational therapist provides services to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical or mental function and health status resulting from injury, disease, stress, or other causes. An occupational therapist plans and administers occupational therapy treatment programs for medically or psychiatrically referred patients to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of body part. Occupational therapists at HMH may treat patients who are hospital acute care in-patients, out-patients, home care patients, and/or provide consultative services to contracted agencies. |
| Experience/ Requirements | Graduate from a professional occupational therapy education program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association with a current license to practice occupational therapy in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. One year experience and/or student affiliations in acute in-patient, out-patient and/or home care. |
