CompreCare Occupational Health

The CompreCare Department of Harrington Memorial Hospital provides occupational health services to a variety of clients in the form of preplacement and periodic physical examinations/screenings, evaluation and treatment of work related injuries, medical surveillance screenings, immunizations, wellness/safety education, and work site evaluations. Services are initiated via a contractual agreement with employers.

The CompreCare Department is located on 32 Oakes Avenue, first floor, (part of the main campus across from the Medical Arts Building). Regular business hours are 8 am until 12 noon, and again from 1pm until 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The department is closed on weekends and holidays. Services which may be required after regular business hours can be scheduled with advance notice. Work related injuries requiring evaluation, which occur during off duty hours, are directed to proceed to the nearest Emergency Care Center or as their company policy dictates.

The scope of services offered provide Harrington Memorial Hospital/industries/ businesses with the professional and the clinical expertise required to:
  • Promote a safe and healthful work environment
  • Meet the identified and prospective needs of new and existing employees within a company/hospital
  • Assist compliance with Federal and State regulations specific to their industry or business
  • Improve employees' overall health and safety awareness through programs such as health promotion (wellness) and on-site immunizations, and through safety programs such as CPR/First Aid and bloodborne pathogen training.

  • Laboratory Testing and Diagnostic Imaging for Medical Surveillance
  • Work Related Injury Assessment, Treatment, and Management
  • Workplace Safety and Ergonomic Analysis
