| Description | THIS IS A TWO DAY COURSE: Also meets Wednesday, May 12. designed for Physicians, Registered Nurses, Paramedics, and Allied Health professionals who desire knowledge and practice in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. ACLS is a two-day course designed to provide a Two-Year Documentation of Course Completion after satisfactory completion in accordance with American Heart Association Standards. Includes a combination of lecture, demonstrations hands-on skills, and practical and written examinations. This program provides the participant with current information, knowledge review of ACLS in perspective pharmacology, dysrhythmias, acute MI, airway management, defibrillation, and therapeutic modalities. *Participants must have taken the new CPR (BLS) Healthcare Provider Course after February 2006. Course card issued by the American Heart Association. Course Director: John Tumolo, MD, F.A.C.C., Director CCU, Director Cardiac Rehabilitation • Harrington Nursing staff from: ICU, ER, PACU, and Cardiac Rehabilitation are free of charge. Fee includes texts. Those seeking re-certification will need to complete Day 2 (May 13) only. Class is limited to 25 participants. Deadline to register is April 28, 2009. |
