Movember at Harrington
During the month of November, Harrington HealthCare will be participating in the now world-wide event to raise awareness regarding men's health, Movember.
Movember was started in 2006 as a way to raise awareness for men's health issues related to prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's mental health.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED:
Men who participate in Movember take action to change the face of men's health by starting clean-shaven on Movember 1st (or close to it) and growing a moustache for the month November -- It's about creating conversations while raising funds and awareness for men's health.
Women who participate in Movember are dedicated to supporting the men in their lives by promoting the importance of men's health. Woman sign up, start a team, and fundraise - they are champions of Movember, rallying the men in their lives to join the movement, grow moustaches and have important conversations about men's health.
Dr. Gennady Gelman, Harrington Physician Services Family Medicine, has graciously accepted the role of Harrington's Team leader and has created a Harrington Team website for interested participants to sign up and for everyone to track our success.
Participants will be able to raise money for the Movember foundation through donations received by friends, family, co-workers, or anyone willing to support this important cause.
Dr. Gelman has already begun the challenge and you can track his progress on his personal page.
Please consider joining Dr. Gelman in this effort to raise awareness for men's health. Our Harrington Team is open to anyone connected to the Harrington Family, so please invite your family and friends to join our team.
