CPAP Clinic begins at Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard Sleep Lab

WEBSTER, Mass. - January 11, 2010 - A clinic for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) masks will begin at the Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard Campus, 340 Thompson Road.

The clinics will be held from 4-7 p.m., by appointment only, the fourth Monday of every month, beginning Jan. 25. Appointments will be held in the Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard Sleep Lab, located on the second floor of the campus.

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is a method of respiratory ventilation used primarily in the treatment of sleep apnea.

The clinic provides an opportunity for those who use a CPAP mask to receive education, advice and professional counseling on its use, comfort and accuracy.

Many people have common questions about CPAP masks, including proper fit, removal during sleep, breathing difficulties, types of masks, face soars and proper cleaning instructions. Those with sleep apnea who currently use the mask might also feel frustrated or overwhelmed at the results.

If you have any questions or concerns, you owe it to yourself to come to the clinic for help. A licensed Respiratory Therapist from Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard Sleep Lab will be present to assist you with your needs.
