Urologist Jeffrey Steinberg Joins Harrington
SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass., June 7, 2013 -- Harrington Physician Services (HPS) has hired Jeffrey Steinberg, M.D., M.H.C.M., F.A.C.S., a urologist specializing in men's health and diseases of the urinary tract. Dr. Steinberg will begin practice in a newly renovated urology office located at 79 Sayles Street, on the Harrington Hospital campus in Southbridge.
"With the addition of Dr. Steinberg, Harrington is able to offer expanded urology services to the communities we serve," said Edward H. Moore, Harrington HealthCare System President and CEO. "Our newly renovated office at 79 Sayles Street is a comfortable, private location convenient for both men and women."

Dr. Steinberg will focus on men's health issues including erectile dysfunction, STDs and disorders of the prostate. Additionally, he will treat kidney and bladder disorders, incontinence, cancers of the urinary tract and perform a variety of in-office procedures such as vasectomy and cystoscopy.
"I'm looking forward to being involved in the Harrington community," Dr. Steinberg said. "I will attend health fairs and offer seminars to educate patients and their loved ones about the symptoms and risks of prostate, bladder and kidney cancer and other urologic conditions."
Dr. Steinberg comes to Harrington from Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, where he was a practicing urologist, while also serving as the hospital's Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Weiss, Dr. Steinberg was Chairman of Surgery and Senior Vice President for Health Disparity at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn. He previously was Chief of Surgery at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester and, prior to that, was Acting Chief of Surgery at Cambridge Health Alliance.
Dr. Steinberg received his Doctorate in Medicine at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and received a Master of Science in Health Care Management from the Harvard School of Public Health. He did his residency in Urology at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and his preliminary General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.
