Endocrinology / Diabetes Care
At Harrington, we have physicians and educators that specialize in all areas of endocrinology. Our staff has expertise in diabetes and obesity, and can provide patients with an individualized plan in managing any metabolic disorder or diabetes. Our endocrinology department services patients 16 years of age and older.
Along with medical management of diabetes, we also provide self education tools utilizing the latest diabetes standards and guidelines. Diabetes Self Management Education includes a review of: nutrition, physical activity, monitoring of blood sugars, medication, prevention, treating acute and chronic complications, practical problem solving and healthy coping.

At Harrington, personalization is a key component in how we care for you. We strive to work with our patients, utilizing a multidisciplinary team based approach. We provide support and education, giving you the necessary tools to manage and monitor your care. We also work closely with other allied health professionals including ophthalmologists, podiatrists, behaviorists, neurologists and cardiologists.

*Prior to Harrington Physician Services, our Director of Endocrinology served for more than 10 years on the staff at Brigham and Women's, where she completed an Endocrinology Fellowship, and also directed the weight loss program for more than three years.
