Expecting a baby?

The attentive staff at our Maternity, Labor and Delivery department will provide all the obstetrical care and counseling you will need. It’s a “family affair” at Harrington, and you can be sure that the physician who delivers your baby is familiar to you.
In our large Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum suites, moms have private bathrooms, showers, and TVs. Our dedicated and experienced nurses will reassure patients about the range of birthing and pain management options. We provide expert care if you have pre-existing medical conditions, and we have a close relationship with UMass Memorial Hospital.
Having a baby is a very personal and individual experience, so we do everything inside our Labor and Delivery unit to make you and your family feel right at home. After delivery, our care continues with a celebration meal for mom and a guest of her choice, served on china and crystal. The table features flowers and candles.
After delivery, our care continues with breast-feeding assistance, transitioning to your home, and ongoing gynecological care.
*New* Harrington is proud to offer a 24/7 email to assist nursing mothers with breastfeeding questions, concerns or difficulties. Moms are welcome to email our team of certified experts!
In addition to the trademark personal touches at Harrington, patients can rest easy knowing that we are equipped with the latest technology, including fetal monitoring and telemetry.
