Physical Therapy (PT) is a healthcare profession that helps people restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout life. At Harrington, we provide services where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease, or environmental factors.
PTs diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to seniors, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their daily activities. They examine individuals and develop treatment plans to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PT’s help to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness- and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
We also specialize in sports inuries and athletic rehabilitation, including taping, orthodics and splints. Harrington has a strong relationship with area schools and athletic programs. Family Medicine physician Paul Harrington, M.D., has been the Dudley/Charlton school district and football team physician since 1982; Pediatrician Thomas O'Leary, D.O., is the Southbridge High School Team Physician, and Orthopedic Surgeron Young-Ho Oh, M.D., is the Team Physician for Tantasqua High School. Our physicians and physical and occupational therapy department work collaboratively to ensure safe and effective treatment for local students and young athletes.
