Harrington Memorial Hospital is proud of its history of caring for patients regardless of their ability to pay. Last year the hospital provided all estimated $ 2.2 million for the care to the poor, under-insured and uninsured and -$1.85 million for free and charitable care and $ 7.5 million to off-set insufficient Medicaid and uncompensated care pool payments. HMH has developed a fair process to determine financial need and qualifications so patients can take advantage of all options to pay their hospital bills. If patients do not qualify for free or reduced-cost care, the hospital works with the patients and / or families to determine reasonable payment arrangements.
