Public Safety
Photo Id Service
Harrington Memorial Hospital Department of Public Safety is a proud partner of the Molly Bish Foundation Safety ID Program. We often work in cooperation with local Fire, Police and Schools to conduct Photo ID and Education Events.
The purpose of the Photo ID Event is to provide parents with an identification document which includes a standardized, high-quality photograph of their child and space to record vital statistics such as age, height, weight, scars, etc. This information is kept and stored by the parent for use by the police in the event the child is ever lost or abducted.
The Department of Public Safety provides trained Officers with the technical experience to acquire professional fingerprints as well as high-quality "poster specific" digital photographs. The kits are provided to the parent free of charge with essential funding coming through our generous sponsors (please reference our page on "Sponsors" for a listing of these individuals, businesses, and organizations).
We kicked off this program in October of 2000 and, to date, have provided over 90,000 Child Identification kits to the parents of Massachusetts !!! We have appeared at events such as Kids-Fests, Family Fun Days, and Country Fairs. We also have been into several school systems throughout Central Massachusetts , have worked closely with the Juvenile Court System, and have provided services for local Little League and Lassie League organizations. In short, where there are children gathered, you are likely to find us providing the kits !!!
If you are conducting a family event designed to draw children, or are involved in an organized youth league, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to arrange coverage at your event as a proud service to our community!!!
