Public Safety

The purpose and mission of the Department of Public Safety are to:

Provide for a safe and secure environment for all members of the Harrington Memorial Hospital Community, with: patients, physicians, staff, visitors and property,
Prevent against any interference with the medical or psychiatric treatment of patients or the legal rights of patients,
Maintain an equitable level of order, control and safety in the various Hospital buildings and on the Hospital grounds,
Protect against the theft, misuse, and/or vandalism of the property of the hospital and the personal property of patients, physicians, staff, guests and visitors,
Enforcement of the various Hospital rules and regulations, and any applicable local, state, or federal laws and/or rules and regulations,
Serve as liaison on behalf of the Hospital to local Law Enforcement Agencies in addressing and coordinating all matters involving criminal activity and the security of the Hospital and it's Community.
