Volunteers

Did you know...? We have one of the few hospitals in the country with a volunteer management team running the Gift Shop. This past calendar year our Auxiliary gift shop raised over Thirty Thousand dollars, which was given back to the hospital through appropriations and grants. The departments that received grants were G.B. Wells, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, Social Services, HERC, ER, Cardiac, Nursing as well as Community Connections and the south Central WIC program. An additional $10,000 dollars was given to the building fund. In addition, 15 thousand was given in scholarships to those going into the health care field. The Auxiliary also funds many of the supplies for the knitters, sewers and crafters. Click here to learn more about Harrington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
