School teachers and teens on summer break, parents whose children have grown, newcomers to our community-all have found that Volunteer Service at HMH gives them the opportunity to use existing skills or develop new skills. The hospital is an interesting way to share free time, from 4 hours per month to 4 hours per week or more.

Reception Desk Volunteers escort visitors, provide directions, deliver flowers and create a warm and welcoming environment. Monday through Sunday shifts are usually from 9am-1 pm, 1pm -5pm and 5pm-8pm.

Gift Shop Volunteers greet customers, use cash register, set up displays, and fill the candy jars. There are a variety of positions, including management team, merchandisers, buyers, sales clerks, clerical and bookkeeping. Open 7 days per week.

Office Assistance Filing, collating and data entry and various special projects. Opportunities in many departments as requested. A shift varies depending on the department's needs and requests for volunteer assistance.

Book Cart Volunteers provide a magazine cart giving patients an opportunity to read and relax from a donated selection of popular magazines. More (add link to more opportunities)
