SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – October 10, 2014 -Harrington HealthCare System is asking the community recognize their favorite doctor by submitting nominations in this year’s Total Local Care (TLC) Physician of the Year award program.
The winner will receive public recognition at Harrington’s annual Physician Recognition Event, held this year on November 24. The doctor also takes home an engraved award.
“So often, we receive letters or notes from patients who are appreciative of the great care they received from their doctor,” said Edward Moore, President and CEO of Harrington HealthCare System. “This event is an opportunity for our physicians to see how much they have affected the lives of those in the community.”
Any physician on Harrington’s medical staff is eligible to receive a vote. Harrington has more than 100 physicians on their medical roster and offices across all of Southern Worcester County, including Brimfield, Spencer, Southbridge, Sturbridge, Charlton, and Webster. The judging committee, made up of members of Harrington’s senior administration, medical staff, and previous TLC Award winners, will review why a physician was nominated, number of nominations received, and active medical staff membership.
Each physician considered for the award should accent one or more characteristics defined as critical to being a part of the healthcare system. These values include: caring, collegial, quality, safety, leadership, cooperation, integrity, flexible, diversity, available, and reliable.
Votes may be cast online by visiting harringtonhos.wpengine.com. All nominations must be received by Monday, October 27.
