BRIMFIELD, Mass. – August 1, 2014 – Shannon Short, D.O., a Family Medicine physician, is joining Harrington HealthCare System. Dr. Short, who is Board Certified in Family Medicine, will work in the Harrington Physician Services office at 255 E. Old Sturbridge Road in Brimfield, where she joins Thomas R. Clay, D.O., James Goodwin, M.D., and Kimberly Vetal, N.P.

Dr. Short received her Degree in Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the Puget Sound Family Medicine Residency Program in Bremerton, WA. Dr. Short also completed a Pediatric Internship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Short comes to Harrington from The Generations Family Health Center in Putnam, CT., where as the sole physician, she provided medical care to uninsured or underinsured patients in an under-served community and supervised and mentored two APRNS.
Prior to her work at the Generations Family Health Center, Dr. Short was senior medical officer and clinical services department head at the Naval Branch Health Clinic at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, GA.
