SOUTHBRIDGE, MA, August 27, 2019 — Harrington HealthCare System has announced the return of its family-friendly 5K walk/run this September.
The Neon 5K fundraiser will be held on Saturday, September 21 directly preceding the start of AutumnFest in downtown Southbridge. The course begins and ends at the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center. Online registration is now open through EventBrite. Participants can save $5 if they register by September 1. Children under 10 are free.
Participants are encouraged to wear their brightest, craziest NEON colors for a 1.5-mile single loop or 3.2-mile double loop. Harrington will provide awards for the best individual color display, best team color display and largest team.
Rapscallion Brewery is offering vouchers for 1/2 pints to every 5K participant over the age of 21 to be redeemed at AutumnFest.
Help Harrington support mental health support services in our community by joining together for this family-friendly event. Net proceeds will benefit the healthcare system’s services and programs that create opportunities and remove barriers for those with mental health disorders.
At the completion of the race, families can enjoy food, beer, wine, games and vendors on the Southbridge Common during AutumnFest, hosted by the Southbridge Business Partnership.
