CHARLTON, Mass. – January 30, 2013 – Lisa Neavyn, M.D., an Ophthalmologist, has joined Harrington Physician Services at its medical office suite on Route 169 in Charlton.
Dr. Neavyn, who completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit, where she received the Lawrence L. Stocker Award for Compassionate Medicine, will join ophthalmologist Michael Border, M.D., and optician Lisa Jilson at 20 Southbridge Road (Route 169).

The hiring of Dr. Neavyn will bring a total of three ophthalmologists to Harrington HealthCare System. Dr. Hugh Cooper, also a member of the Harrington medical staff, will continue to see patients at his office in the Medical Arts Building on the Harrington Hospital campus in Southbridge, as well as at the Webster campus at 340 Thompson Road, Webster. Dr. Cooper sees pediatric and adult patients.

Dr. Neavyn received her doctorate in medicine from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. She did her internship at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, Penn. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Dr. Neavyn will conduct eye exams and also perform surgical procedures, treating patients for a variety of ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease.
