I would like to relate my experience at Harrington Hospital. I was taken to the Southbridge Emergency Department in early April 2018 with what was to be diagnosed as TIA.
The excellent care began from the time I came through the door. Public Safety officer Ricardo Veras wheeled me into a patient room and told me that he would wait outside the ER to inform my son who was with me. Ricardo was very kind and helpful. I was seen almost immediately by two nurses, Amy Viapiano and Tracy Digregorio. They were very kind and helpful; they were also very informative as to what was happening.
I was later admitted to 2 North where I received outstanding care from each and every nurse and PCA. I was later transferred to 3 North where I also received outstanding care. My case manager was incredible in helping to arrange my visiting nurse, physical therapist and occupational therapist, as well as setting up assistance to help with cleaning around the house.
Those individuals at Harrington made a very traumatic event less stressful and were a big help. I would strongly recommend Harrington Hospital to anyone.
