Being a mom can be frightening and exciting – and that’s why we are here to help! We offer comprehensive courses whether you’re expecting your first child, or you’re just in need of a refresher.
You should enroll in childbirth education classes by your fifth month of pregnancy. All expectant parents are welcome to attend our classes at Harrington, no matter where you plan to deliver. Our family-centered education program strives to meet the needs of every family member. Husbands, partners, and coaches are encouraged to attend these comprehensive courses close to home.
Flexible payment options are available. Some insurance companies offer discounts or reimbursements for childbirth classes. Please call for additional details.

Many women have utilized and appreciated the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition free text message program available to pregnant moms to help educate and support them during their pregnancy. This educational program is called “text4baby.”
Complete this form and return it to the UMass Memorial Medical Center address below at least six weeks before your due date. If significant changes occur between the time the form is completed and your admission, notify the Patient Registration Department at 508-334-6097 with changes (e.g., health insurance, employment, etc.).
