SPENCER, Mass. – June 15, 2015 – Harrington Physician Services (HPS), an affiliate of Harrington HealthCare System, is now offering orthopedic appointments at its Spencer medical office building.
Dr. Charles Sommer, part of the HPS Orthopedic Surgery Department in Southbridge, will be available once a week at the 118 West Main Street Spencer office to see patients for orthopedic consultations.
“By bringing an orthopedic surgeon to our Spencer location, patients from the Spencer area and the Brookfields can quickly book an appointment at an office that’s closer to their home or where they work,” said Kristin Morales, Chief Operating Officer of Harrington Physician Services.
The HPS Orthopedic Surgery Department cares for people of all ages who suffer from arthritis, bone fractures, joint deterioration, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Ganglion cysts, strains and sprains, and complex sports injuries. Dr. Sommer works with Dr. Joseph Veneziano, Dr. Young-Ho Oh, and Dr. Elisabeth Robinson at the main 94 South Street office.
Dr. Sommer has more than 20 years’ experience in orthopedic surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, completing a residency at Boston University and a fellowship at the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Sommer is board certified.
HPS also offers orthopedic consultations at its Webster and Charlton offices.
