Your support helps define our success here at Harrington. It is only with the help of businesses, local families and individuals that we are able to continue to bring you new services, better access to care and advanced technology.
These are unprecedented times, when the entire Commonwealth is coming together and making tough choices to support important public health goals. At Harrington HealthCare, our team has been working hard to support testing and care and preparing for a potential influx of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.
We are so grateful for the outpouring of support, well wishes and donations we have received from our community. At this time, our priority is on limiting risk of incidental infection, supporting our staff and being prepared for a rapidly changing situation.

We accept gifts year-round for our Cancer Center in Southbridge, which treats patients for oncology and hematology medical conditions and illness. We are Commission on Cancer Accredited, and take pride in the personalized, compassionate, advanced care we offer our patients.
In Memory of a Loved One
Patients at our cancer center are like family. Over time, our staff gets to know each individual and their family and friends as if they were our own. Often, when someone passes from cancer, their family, friends or relatives would like to make a donation in their name.
We would be happy to help honor the memory of someone you love by accepting a donation. Gifts offered to the Cancer Center support the needs of other patients, such as co-pay assistance or transportation, as well as to continue to the advancement of cancer treatment and services offered to our community. Please contact our Development Department for more information.
The Garden of Hope
The Harrington Auxiliary also invites you to commemorate those who have been touched by cancer. You can memorialize loved ones, family and friends with a beautifully inscribed brick, on display on the patio outside our Cancer Center’s top floor.
Bricks are sold in either 4-inch by 8-inch or 8-inch by 8-inch size and can be inscribed up to three lines.
For more information or to purchase a brick, please click here.
Harrington HealthCare and the Southbridge Rotary Club annually hold the Dr. VanVooren’s Annual Golf Tournament in September at the Raceway Golf Club in Thompson, Conn. This tournament has been held for more than 30 years with an excellent following of golfers and generous community donors.
Proceeds from the tournament are used to support Harrington’s comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation program by providing educational materials, YMCA scholarships, and equipment for their patients. Proceeds are also used for the Dr. VanVooren Scholarship, awarded annually to a Harrington employee pursuing a career in the medical field.
More than $40,000 has been awarded in scholarships since the tournament began.
An unrestricted gift is simply a gift to Harrington HealthCare with no restrictions from the donor on how it is used. Unrestricted gifts support our work by allowing Harrington flexibility in determining how best to use the funds.
Gifts are accepted anytime and can be mailed to the address at the top of this page. Feel free to add a personal note or a memo on the check that indicates “Unrestricted Gift.”
You may also make an unrestricted gift of cash or credit card.
If your employer has a matching gift program, you might be able to double or triple the size of your gift to Harrington. Your employer’s Human Resources Department will be able to tell you if they offer a matching gift program. They can then provide you with the appropriate matching gift forms, which you can mail to our offices.
