SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – October 23, 2015 – Thomas Johnson and Thomas Canto, board-certified general surgeons, have joined Harrington Physician Services Surgical Department. Harrington Physician Services (HPS) is an affiliate of Harrington HealthCare System.
Dr. Johnson and Dr. Canto will join Dr. Evan Provisor, Dr. Stephen Hilborn, and Dr. Colette Whitby at the newly renovated HPS surgical office in the Medical Arts Building on the Harrington Hospital campus in Southbridge. They will begin seeing patients in late October.
Dr. Johnson, of Wilbraham, Mass., comes to Harrington from Baystate Wing Hospital with more than 20 years of experience in general surgery. He graduated with a Doctorate from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Johnson has also worked at Beverly Surgical Associates, Albany Medical Center, and Boston University, where he completed his residency.
Dr. Canto, also of Wilbraham, Mass., comes to Harrington from Baystate Wing Hospital with 28 years of experience in general surgery. He graduated with his Doctorate from Bowman Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina. He has also worked at Wing Memorial Hospital as well as several other hospitals in North and South Carolina and Virginia.
