Russell Donnelly, Orthopedic Surgeon, Joins Harrington Physician Services

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – Russell Donnelly, an orthopedic surgeon with ties to central Massachusetts, has joined Harrington Physician Services (HPS) in Southbridge.

Dr. Donnelly is returning to the area after spending three years at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle, Maine. Prior to that, he practiced more than 15 years in Worcester, including with St. Vincent Hospital Department of Orthopedics and Fallon Clinic.

Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Donnelly received his medical degree from John Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore and is a member of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, among other professional affiliations.

Dr. Donnelly will join Dr. Young-Ho, Oh, Dr. Charles Sommer and Dr. Joseph Veneziano in the orthopedic surgery office at 94 South Street in Southbridge.

He will perform a variety of diagnostic, preventive and surgical treatment for orthopedic conditions including:

  • Arthritis/Osteoarthritis
  • Bone fractures
  • Total Joint Replacement
  • Knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction
  • Meniscus tears/ACL injuries
  • Ganglion cysts
  • Carpal tunnel/hand surgery
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Splints and casts

Dr. Donnelly will also join Dr. Oh in offering total joint replacement surgery – one of the fastest growing and most reliable procedures for patients who suffer from osteoarthritis or other conditions that cause joint pain and reduce mobility.

Other surgical options include minimally-invasive arthroscopic procedures with minimal scarring and shorter recovery time.
