SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – January 15, 2015 – Teddi Bachawaty, M.D., Board-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, has joined the Harrington Physician Services (HPS) OB/Gyn practice in Southbridge. HPS is part of Harrington HealthCare System.
Dr. Bachawaty will work with Drs. Christine Carey, Zung Hoang, Mark Simonelli, Gregory Woo, and Sam Zylstra in the Medical Arts Building in Southbridge. The office specializes in women’s health, including wellness exams, in-office procedures, surgical contraception, and hormone replacement therapy.
All HPS obstetrics physicians deliver in the Harrington Family Birthing Center in Southbridge at the main hospital campus.
Dr. Bachawaty has been working as a Board-Certified Physician in Obstetrics and Gynecology for the past seven years. His most recent position was Chief of Obstetrics at the Western Massachusetts OB/GYN Holyoke Medical Center in Holyoke.
Prior to his work there, Dr. Bachawaty was an Assistant Professor of OB/GYN at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford, Ill. He also served as a Clinical Associate for the department in the University of Illinois’ Crusader Clinic.
Originally from El Koura, Lebanon, Dr. Bachawaty is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the American Medical Association. He is fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
Dr. Bachawaty completed his undergraduate degree and medical school at the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, where he was on the varsity soccer team, before moving to the United States and completing his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
