I wanted to share with you how proud I am to be a valued member of the Recovery Team, but more importantly as a member of the Harrington Community.
Back on April 22, 2017, I had a health scare.. and my husband rushed me to the Remillard Family Emergency Department in Webster, where the amazing team of doctors and nurses literally saved my life. I was in anaphylactic shock, which has never happened to me before, and my husband was told I only had maybe 10 minutes left to live had I not been in the care of the Emergency Department Team.
They were able to stabilize and intubate me, and, after some time, I was transferred to the ICU at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge.
When I woke up the next day, I had no idea where I was, and had little to no recollection of the previous day.
What I do remember was the exceptional care I received while in Harrington. The nurses and doctors were simply amazing. My husband, who is a Worcester Police LT. (and never left my side) was especially touched by the professionalism and sincere care I received while in the two facilities.
I think it is important for you to know that I know Harrington saved me.. and all went above and beyond to treat me with the utmost respect and dignity at a time I was not even conscious.
As I reflect back on this year, and with the Holidays approaching, I am beyond grateful to be alive and a very proud member of our hospital.
Thank you.
