(WEBSTER, Oct. 9, 2009) – Patients have access to a new and improved Central Registration area at the Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard campus.
The front lobby, which was used mainly for visitor information, will now serve as the main registration center for all outpatient visits. Patients are being asked to utilize the main lobby through the front doors to check in before their appointments, including laboratory work, GI, EKGs, Cardiopulmonary and Diagnostic Imaging services.
The Emergency Room will retain its own registration window by the ER entrance.
“The move to a Central Registration area was done for the patients comfort and security,” said Administrator Tom Hijeck. “This new space enhances patient privacy and confidentiality and ensures we are in compliance with all HIPAA regulations.”
The former small registration area by the Medical Office Building has closed and signage has been posted to direct patients to utilize the main entrance for check in.
The new registration space has private and individual cubicles, as well as a sunny and open waiting area with comfortable seating and reading material.
