CHARLTON, Mass. – April 30, 2010 – Our new outpatient facility, Harrington HealthCare at Charlton, is on track to be fully open by the end of May. The exact opening date is dependent on approval by the state Department of Public Health.
The expansive two-story brick medical office building, which is located just off Route 20, one of Charltons major thoroughfares, has generated buzz in the community since construction began one year ago. The community will get a chance to learn more about the facility and its operations at an Open House/Health Fair on Saturday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Harrington HealthCare at Charlton already is home to four popular Family Practice physicians: Martin Devine, Leah Doret, Elizabeth Fuller and Monika Mathur. An MRI operation, staffed by Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center has been open since June 2009.
When fully staffed, Harrington HealthCare at Charlton will also include Specialty-Care physicians and the Wound Care Center at Harrington, featuring hyperbaric oxygen chambers. The facility also will have a comprehensive Diagnostic Imaging Department offering X-Ray, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound and Digital Mammography, plus a Phlebotomy Draw Station, Behavioral Health Services and Rehabilitation Services.
The Health Fair will include activities for children, such as face painting and a doll clinic, as well as free screenings such as blood pressure, sun damage and vision.
