WEBSTER, Mass. – August 26, 2013 – Harrington HealthCare at Hubbard will host its second annual Wine, Beer and Chocolate Tasting, featuring some of the areas best selections and distributors, on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 2 – 4 p.m. at Indian Ranch in Webster. Tickets are $30 if purchased in advance; $35 at the door.
The money raised will help support the Strengthening Our Future Capital Campaign — an $8.8 million fund-raising campaign to modernize and renovate the Emergency Department at the Webster campus. And thanks to a $4 million matching grant from a generous donor, your donation will automatically be doubled!
Harrington HealthCare at Hubbards Emergency Department is the focal point of healthcare in Webster, Dudley, Oxford, Douglas, Thompson and surrounding communities in South Central Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. The Emergency Department in Webster sees more than 12,000 patient visits a year, but has not had a substantial overhaul since it was constructed in 1955. Thus far, the Strengthening Our Future campaign has raised $2.9 million from donations from individuals, businesses and foundations. This figure includes $1.5 million in the Fiscal Year 2014 state budget for the reconstruction of the Emergency Department. With the generous matching grant, that total amount raised thus far is $5.8 million — $3 million away from the final goal.
Come indulge with Harrington at our Wine, Beer and Chocolate Tasting and sample some great local flavor and dive into some of the sweetest treats in the area. Some of the featured wine, beer and chocolate comes from Ruby Wines, Hardwick Vineyard and Winery, Les Trois Emme Winery and Vineyard, Lindt Chocolates, Cabot Cheese, Boston Beer Company, Berkshire Brewing Company, Kretchman Brewing Company, Abacus Distributing, Cakettes, Martys Liquors of Dudley and many more.
