Kathleen Davis Named New Head of Quality

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. – June 21, 2010 – Kathleen S. Davis has joined the Harrington HealthCare family as the new Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Management. She will begin work at Harrington at the end of July.

Davis, who has a background in quality improvement, patient safety and risk management, comes to Harrington from Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) in Manchester, Conn., where she was Manager of Quality Improvement. In that role, she was responsible for hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. She also coordinated efforts by ECHN to prepare for reviews by regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission and the Department of Public Health.

“Please join me in welcoming Kathleen Davis to Harrington,” said Edward Moore, Harrington President and CEO. “As our new Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety and Risk Management, she will also be a member of Senior Leadership Team. Kathleen, who is a Registered Nurse, has experience in the clinical side as well as the management side of healthcare.”

Before working at ECHN, Davis assisted in the redesign of an organization-wide Quality Improvement Program at Connecticut Childrens Medical Center in Hartford, Conn. Davis also managed a cardiac stepdown/telemetry unit for Massillon Community Hospital in Massillon, Ohio. She has a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.
